Abstract / Description

This article aims to disseminate basic information related to maths anxiety to parents/guardians and teachers. A brief introduction of general topics related to maths anxiety such as the definition, causes, prevalence, and possible interventions is presented. The article was posted on the blog Arithmós Project, which aims to investigate if digital games can improve maths skills and reduce maths anxiety in school-age children. The project is a collaborative partnership between University College Dublin and Technological university Dublin and is being funded by the Irish Research Council.
