Abstract / Description
Data set for study that examined how misperceptions of elder maltreatment manifest as a function of age of the observer, aging pathology status of the victim and type of abuse observed. All participants were asked to rate their level of agreement that the care providers’ behaviours described in 13 hypothetical scenarios were abusive, justified, and acceptable. The participants were also asked to elaborate on their ratings as part of the mixed-methodology approach.
