Abstract / Description
The main aim of the study is to test the cross-cultural validity of the seven-factor model of personality, defined by HEXACO and Disintegration traits, across three different cultural groups: Serbs, UK, and Germans. The main hypothesis is that Disintegration facets will form the expected Disintegration factor separate from HEXACO factors in each of the three samples. We will employ the multi-group Exploratory Structure Equation Modelling (ESEM) to test the factorial invariance of the seven-factor personality model across the three ethnic groups. We also expect the separation of Disintegration factor in the EFA (Exploratory Factor Analysis) at the item level, that includes all participants. Data will be collected using a 100- item HEXACO personality inventory assessing six basic personality traits, and the 20-item DELTA questionnaire measuring Disintegration trait. In addition, sociodemographic data on gender, age and educational level will be collected. Data collected in Serbia serve for exploratory purposes, while data collected in UK and Germany will serve for confirmatory purposes.
