Psychologische Reaktanz – eine sozialpsychologische Referenztheorie für Integrative Supervision

Diese Arbeit thematisiert die Bedeutung der Theorie der Psychologischen Reaktanz für den Anwendungsbereich von Supervision. Hierzu werden sowohl Grundaussagen der Reaktanztheorie Jack W. Brehms, wie auch deren Weiterentwicklungen zur wissenschaftlichen Gegenwart erläutert und auf aktuelle Fragestellungen von Organisationen und Arbeitswelt angewandt. Die individuelle Erfahrung von Freiheit, deren Einschränkungen (constraints) und damit verbundenen motivationalen Dynamiken, welche Kernthemen der dem Bereich der Sozialpsychologischen real-explikativen Theorien zuzuordnenden Reaktanztheorie darstellen, formulieren zugleich Momente und Gestaltungsaspekte von Supervisionsprozessen Berufstätiger und deren Arbeitswelt(en). In diesem Sinne soll der Artikel für Supervisor*innen einen Überblick über prozessdiagnostische und gestaltende Ansatzpunkte von Supervision darstellen. Eingebettet sind die vorliegenden Anregungen in eine grundlegend ressourcenfokussierende und zugleich der Integrativen Theorie entsprechende supervisorische Grundhaltung.

This paper addresses the significance of the theory of psychological reactance for the application of supervision. For this purpose, the basic statements of Jack W. Brehm’s reactance theory as well as its further development to the scientific present are explained and applied to current issues of organisations and the world of work. The individual experience of freedom, its restrictions (constraints) and the associated motivational dynamics, which are core themes of the reactance theory, which belongs to the field of social-psychological real-explicative theories, also formulate moments and design aspects of supervision processes of professionals and their working environment(s). In this sense, the article is intended to provide supervisors with an overview of process-diagnostic and formative approaches to supervision. These suggestions are embedded in a fundamentally resource-focussed and at the same time integrative theory-based supervisory approach.
