Eine wissenschaftliche Psychotherapie - und den einzelnen psychotherapeutischen Orientierungen entsprechende Forschungsmethoden

Hat die Psychotherapie, die heute so zersplittert erscheint, das Recht, einen wissenschaftlichen Status zu beanspruchen? In diesem Artikel schlägt der Autor einige Kriterien vor, die ein psychotherapeutisches Modell erfüllen müsste, um als wissenschaftlich anerkannt zu werden: als kritische Methode operieren zu können und, grundsätzlicher, in der Lage zu sein, bezüglich der psychotherapeutischen Realität theoretische Aussagen zu formulieren und spezifische Regeln für deren Validierung anzugeben. Diese brauchen nicht der theoretisch-experimentellen Methode entliehen zu sein, sondern sind von Modell zu Modell verschieden. Diesbezüglich legt der Autor grosses Gewicht auf die Notwendigkeit, sich mit den Begriffen der Glaubensvorstellung und der Vorannahmen auseinanderzusetzen, die stets in die wissenschaftliche Entwicklung eines psychotherapeutischen Modells und dessen Validierungsmethode eingreifen.Schlüsselwörter: Epistemologie, vergleichende Psychotherapie, wissenschaftliche Validierung.

Does psychotherapy have a right to call itself a science, now that it seems to be so split upI In the present article the author proposes a number of criteria that should possibly be required for a psychotherapeutic model to be considered scientific. The model should have the ability to operate as a critical method and, more basically, to formulate theoretical proposals relative to the reality of psychotherapy; it should also enunciate specific rules concerning their validation. These rules need not necessarily be similar to those of theoretico-experimental methods and may vary from one model to the next. In this connection, the author stresses the need to reflect the ideas of “belief” and of “pre-assumption” that always influence the scientific construction of a psychotherapeutic model and its method of validation.Keywords: Epistemology, compared psychotherapy, scientific validation.

La psychothérapie qui apparaît aujourd’hui si éclatée est-elle en droit de revendiquer un statut scientifique} Dans cet article, l’auteur propose avec prudence quelques critères qu’un modèle psychothérapeutique devrait satisfaire pour être reconnu comme scientifique: pouvoir opérer comme une méthode critique et, plus fondamentalement, être capable de formuler des énoncés théoriques concernant la réalité psychothérapeutique ainsi que les règles propres de leur validation. Ces dernières ne sont pas nécessairement empruntées à la méthode théorético-expérimentale mais varient d’un modèle à l’autre. A ce sujet, l’auteur insiste sur la nécessité de considérer les notions de croyance et de présupposés qui interviennent toujours dans la construction scientifique d’un modèle psychothérapeutique et dans celle de sa méthode de validation.Mots clefs: Epistémologie, psychothérapie comparée, validation scientifique.
