Abstract / Description

Dieser Workshop soll Kindern der 5.-6- Jahrgangsstufe im deutschen Schulsystem (Alter ca. 10-12 Jahre) psychologische Forschung zum Thema Gedächtnis näher bringen sowie ein grundlegendes Verständnis über Open Science (offene Wissenschaft) vermitteln. Prof. Planlos, ein zerstreuter Wissenschaftler, und Prof. Experimentella, eine überaus organisierte und sehr gut vorbereitete Wissenschaftlerin, entwickeln zusammen mit den Kindern ein Experiment zum Thema Gedächtnis und vermitteln dabei grundlegende Prinzipien von wissenschaftlichem Arbeiten und Open Science. Im zweiten Teil des Workshops lernen die Kinder, wie man wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse transparent kommuniziert, sodass möglichst viele Menschen davon erfahren und warum dies wichtig ist.
This workshop is designed to introduce children in grades 5-6 of the German school system (aged 10-12 years) to psychological research on memory and to provide a basic understanding of open science. Together with the children, Prof. Planlos (Prof. Clueless), an absent-minded scientist, and Prof. Experimentella, a very organised and well-prepared scientist, will develop an experiment on memory and teach the children basic principles of scientific research and open science along the way. In the second part of the workshop, the children learn how to communicate scientific results so that as many people as possible can learn about them and why this is important.
