Abstract / Description
This study aims to develop a new scale, Relationship autonomy scale (RAS). The Relationship Autonomy scale aims to assess autonomy in interpersonal intimate relationship. Its application can be found in relationship therapy as well as for research purposes. Exploratory actor analysis was executed on sample of 155 (N=155). The scale was found to be internally consistent and model fit of the data was acceptable. The scale is multidimensional and consists of three factors, Goal directedness (GD), Self- expression (SE), Social support (SS). Limitations and further scope for research is also discussed.
