Additional supplementary analyses of the data from both Study 1 and Study 2 were conducted as robustness checks to explore whether participant ideology or participant gender could potentially moderate the effects of candidate empathy on candidate evaluation. Results of these regressions, which include these additional variables and full interaction terms, can be found in the supplemental tables published here.
