Abstract / Description
'The Problem of Induction and the Problem of Free Will’ looks at the issue of locating the freedom in the exercise of free will. In this, it highlights the role of self-linked psychological resources, including personal beliefs, emotions, affects, and the psychological value-network. The self is a complex system interacting with other complex systems, in the context of which ‘determinism’ is to be interpreted appropriately. The role of the self-linked psychological resources establishes a close analogy between the exercise of free will and the making of an inductive inference.
