Abstract / Description
Recently, ‘core facilities’ have been introduced by scientific organizations, with the aim of improving organizational structures to ease access to expensive scientific devices (e.g. MRI scanners) for scientists and enhance the facilities efficiency. Recent developments of the project “PLannning, Experimental, and Analysis SUpport in REsearch” (PLEASURE) at the Bender Institute of Neuroimaging (BION) will be described, which aim to cover the requirements of a core facility. This includes data and facility management, quality control and management, error handling strategies, knowledge transfer, as well as support.
